Greenwich Conservatives have pledged their support to efforts to restore the Cutty Sark after the devastating fire that damaged the ship early this morning.  The fire is thought to be suspicious, and police are investigating.

Local Conservatives are calling for Labour Councillors to apologise to the public, after an independent review of the council's performance showed it to be among the worst in the country.

The Best Value Performance Review, looked at various measures across England, from education to street cleaning, and compared how well Greenwich is doing against other council's over the last year.

All the fun of the fair?

Following complaints by local residents about Blackheath's Bank Holiday funfairs Blackheath Westcombe Ward's Conservative Councillors took action.  As a result Greenwich Council undertook a survey of local residents most likely to be affected.   While there was a clear feeling that the traditional funfairs should continue there were concerns about noise, litter and increased traffic.

Conservative surgery on Ferrier Estate tomorrow

David Gold will join local residents' representative Gerry McWilliams in a special surgery at the Ferrier Estate community centre this Saturday afternoon.
