Broken light timer in Strongbow Crescent plunges residents into darkness

Eltham North Councillors have been working for residents to try and fix problems with the timer for their lights which means they are plunged into darkness on landings and stairwells after dark.

Conservative questions lead to Living Wage for Greenwich GSPlus employees

Following questions from Cllr Spencer Drury and an article on the Greenwich Conservatives website, the Labour-run Greenwich Council appears to have executed a dramatic about turn and is now saying it will pay the London Living Wage (LLW) to all employees of GSPlus (a subsidiary of Greenwich Council).

At last night’s Overview and Scrutiny Committee the extent of the Labour-run Council’s obfuscation over the London Living Wage (LLW) became clear when GSPlus revealed that it would not pay all of the staff it employed in the capital the LLW despite public statements that it was its policy to do so.
